There very peaceful fish that range in size from 3"-15". Some of them can be difficult to keep. I'm not sure about diet though.

If it is an insulated trigger you can forget about keeping anything with him unless you have a massive tank. He WILL eventually go crazy and kill ALL his tankmates. I would definitely return him.

My guess would be some type of bacterial infection caused by even a tiny scratch on him.

I'm not sure on puffers realising toxins I know box fish do. But from what I've read and been told puffers and triggers are not good tank mates for cat sharks or rays since they peek at their eyes and fins.

I'm going to be upgrading tanks this weekend and the new tank is going to go in the same spot as the old. How would you recommend going about this?
