    Lion's not eating

Need some advice. Neither one of my V. lions is eating. Lola (about 2 years old) hasn't eaten for a week and Wayne(1 year old) hasn't eaten for 2 weeks. Wayne had a dislocation of the jaw a couple of weeks ago. He has had this problem before. I know this occurs and usually the lion can fix...

    coral cat shark

I noticed this thread on another site and thought you guys would enjoy it. I think some people really need not be part of this hobby!! My LFS takes sharks on occasion. They said they would take one from a customer if given about 1 months warning. I wasn't planning on giving it to a public...

    HELP!!-Lionfish with jaw problem

I have a 6 inch V. lion (named Wayne) who appears to have a collapsed upper jaw. The pictures show the upper jaw resting on the lower, but the upper appears to not be attached to the head normally. Note the white area above the upper law and below the eyes. It appears to be connective tissue...

    Uh Oh, Damsel in distress!!

It finally happened!! The 7 inch lion finally caught the speedy little yellow tailed blue damsel today. They lived what seemed to be a happy co-existence now for 6 months, but today I noticed a bulge in Lola's belly and the damsel nowhere in sight. Lola ain't talkin' and the 3 inch lion...

I've got a few, maybe 10, aptasia anenomes in my 150 aggressive. It houses 2 Volitans. I would like to get rid of the anenomes without chemicals if possible. Don't think peppermint shrimp would work. Of course, the lions are begging me to put some in!! Any critters out there that the lions...

    Final Stocking Question-- I Promise!!!

OK, I keep trying to think of things to put in my new 150, but always return to my original idea of simply stocking the tank with 2 big Volitan lions and one other fish. I already have 1 V. lion in there now. It may sound boring, but I think it will be a pretty cool tank. My wife REALLY wants...

    Green Wolf Eel

I know that green wolf eel aren't actually eels at all, rather members of the pseudochromis family. My questions are, do they jump out of tanks like eels do and what experiences do others have with them?

    Starfish in an aggresive tank

Has anyone ever put a starfish in with lionfish, groupers, and wrasse? Currently, I just have a V. lion in a 150 and my wife thought a Blue linkia or a burgandy sea star would make a nice addition. I like to call my tank an "aggressive reef" because it does have some colt coral and yellow...
