If I got a velvet damsel

That was 3/4-1" in size currently. How long do you think I can keep it in a 29g before needing to upgrade for its happiness?

you should be able to keep it its entire life in that size tank.

They get up to 6" and I just saw an adult and 29g is just too small for an adult

Damsels are know for drawing blood. That one looks like it could take off your finger.
