Most large angels are big tank fish. The sail is only rivaled by the hippo in adult size lol you like big fish lol. W a 40, stick w clowns, dwarf angels. Even the fox will out grow it fast. Mine one spot is 10" long and like 5" wide lol get a 125 and your all good, but I would still minus the large angel

well, i do like big fish being an active fishermen i LOVE big fish and i am always around them. my addiction to cach them is satisfied by aquarium fish that relate or are sport fish. for example the triggerfish. so thats what got me into this hobbie is sport fish that made their way into the aquarium world. the two trigger fish that i have can live ther entire life in a 90g no problem. and the closer i get to the date i would get the tank up and running the farther the idea of a 125g is. especialy for a 15 year old who cant find a job in this economy being able to aford a 125g is getting harder. the cost of a 90 is much cheaper than a 125. i started out with a 40g and soon relised i cant do my triggers in ther, i also now have a bond with my triggerfish so i started researching and saving money and with the space i was given i came up with the two tank choices that would suite my needs. i also started getting into tangs, clowns, angels, ect. a 125g or a 90g is what i came up with. but i gess this is more up to my parents. they are the ones who are getting me the tank for my christmas present(wich is really generos). so i am planing the stock around my two triggers and i need fish that can hold ther owne. so all the fish that i came up with are at least semi agressive. my tank did look full and color full befor my eel found out that the things swimming are food. so the eel is gone and i am trying to refigure out my stock. i would like it to be more diverse than last time. so i need help because i am still a newbie(sometimes i forget that) and my triggers are nice if the fish can survive the "welcome" that my fish give. and after that they are nice and will share a sleeping hole with. so if ther is a tough fish that can live with my triggers in a 40g for a few months i am open too suggestions. thanks

Dwarf angels some non reef wrasses and possibly the kole tang you wanted pretty much any semi aggressive to aggressive fish that stays under 9" could work depending on how long till your upgrade. You have some great parents if they're willing to buy you a tank and help you with this expensive hobby(addiction).

Craigslist just check it every few days you'd be surprised what kind of deals you can find I also got my trigger from someone just giving him away on craigslist. Generally tangs can hold there own but if your going to get one make sure he's about the same size or bigger than the triggers

im definetly checking craigslist. but my trigger is tricky. if i get a fish that threatens his athority he goes cyco and will attack untill its gone. but i found that my trigger did not care for smaller fish that couldnt possibly chalenge him he will just shove them around with his noes for a few minutes so that they know whose boss. but its the fish that are not afraid that do well. and if they fight back they will hide untill the trigger does not care for them any more wich takes a few hours. thats why i think the kole or the fox face are good tank mates because the kole will not be afraid but not try to fight it like other triggers or other really agressive fish. and the fox face will probaly just get shoved for a little bit. but the fox face will grow to fast for a 40g.

The fox face is probably the better option if your triggers are mean to newcomers since they have a poisonous spine but yeah they grow fast. But I think if you get a 3"ish kole tang he could hold his own.

i agree but i dont want the fox face because that will rush me into the next tank and i dont want to do that. so i think the kole would be best.

A kole tang should be fine in your tank for a few months you should also look at some of the bristletooth tangs

The only issue u could have w a fox is the fact there well aware of their spines and how to use them. My fox and yellow where the same size, the tang was in the tank first then the fox. The tang took a few whacks w the tail bc of there scalpel, the fox had fins up and angled at the tang. They danced for about 10 mins now are inseparable. My point is if your trigger flys in at a fox and gets stuck, the spines are venomous. Very very passive fish tho otherwise

lol i thought triggers nipped a spines like the lion fish. so i am pritty set on the kole tang. but in the next tank i will add the trigges last so agression is lower.
