Planning to buy a Hippo Tang and a Yellow Tang

I have a 5 inch Maroon, a 2.5 inch Royal Gramma, and a 2.5 inch Blue Damsel. I'm planning to buy a Hippo and a Yellow Tang. I used to have a Hippo and Yellow before and they got along with my fish fine. Well the past few years, I haven't had luck with new fish. I just want to know a good way to introduce them to my semi-agressive and territorial fish. I also want to know if my tangs should be bigger or smaller than my existing fish.

Well first what size tank do you have?
You'd probably have better luck if you get them on the bigger side especially with the hippo. It will also help if you introduce them with the lights off or right before you feed the tank.

How are adding new fish to your tank you shouldn't be haveing that much of an aggression issue with only 3 fish in a tank that size

My fish are VERY territorial and aggresive to certain fish.
I had the same issue with an Achilles tang you could try adding the new guys in with the lights off or when your feeding your other fish but if that doesn't work you could give the aggressor a time out and move him to your sump for a week that's what worked for me and since then my Achilles has been nice to everyone

Hi my names Devin. I've been into sw aquariums the last 5-6yrs. I think I missed your last thread. IMHO you will have to add other fish that can be as territorial if not more...
I'd say a magnificent fox face for $100 or a reg one $30-40. Also a squirrelfish. Best fish ies I've bought. squirrel that is, Ive never had fox face.
Another suggestion and prob not an option is to change your whole line up. You can always add yours back in with a new mix and change up the rock work.
Kool monti btw.

Be sure to quarantine the tangs, they are easily stressed, and 99% of the time have ich... people call them ich magnets, but unless they were exposed to the parasite, they can't get it. The only way to be sure they are parasite free is to use a QT.

Is it fair to say that the Damsel is the part of the issue? Everyone I know that has ever had one said they were mean spirited.
