Help with Fish list for 300 gallon

Hello, Im having a hard time figuring what fish to get..... the 4 fish I really want is:

Emperor Angelfish
Porcupine Puffer
Clown Trigger
Harlequin Tuskfish.

Im hoping to add a few more fish but no eels. Any suggestions on what else I can add the more suggestions the better.

Pretty much any tang you want. Also clown triggers have a rep for going insane and slaughtering his tank mates so you might want to think about that.

Ok Im having such a hard time deciding So I decided the Clown trigger is to risky due to the fact that most will snap and kill the entire tank, So Im thinking now the Emperor Angelfish, Harlequin Tuskfish, Sohal tang, and 2 lookdown fish. I will buy the look downs small and within a few years when they reach 12-14 inches trade in out. Maybe still keep the Puffer but I think the fish I just listed will be to active for a puffer.

I would say you are fine with the clown trigger... With the size of your tank you should have no problems.. Clown Triggers are really not that hard core. If you said you were thinking of an ungulated trigger or a crosshatch then I would say you may have a problem.

Good size tank that will allow you to stock a wide variety of fish. The Clown Trigger would be ok but as it gets older and bigger it could become more aggressive. If you do add one, add it at the end of your stocking sequence. Other triggers to consider would be Sargassum, Blue Jaw, Niger, or Crosshatch. All are on the lower scale of trigger aggressiveness...the Crosshatch is pricey though. I would not put any moderately aggressive Trigger with Lookdowns.
Other fish to consider would be:
Lionfish
Large Tangs (Naso, Blonde Naso, Vlamingi, large Desjardini)
Large Angels (Scribbled, Passer, Annularis, Queen)
Foxface

Just some ideas :)

i agree. clown triggers are not that mean. most of them are really nice. but there are a few that are psychopathic. thats why when you get one you get a mature clown trigger that you can see interact with other fish to make shure its not a killer. that being said a clown trigger is a very doable fish in your tank.

One of my favorite ways to set up any aquarium is by specialty (groups). For example 5 yellow or other tangs, and one or two additional groupings (small schools). This offers a very nice centralized display with a little variety. Coordinate your colors to your liking and to the aquascape of the aquarium. Good luck--
