Green Emerald Crab Bothering Tankmates!

Hello,

Is it normal for my emerald crab to bother everyone in the tank?
The man at my LFS said he does not recommend getting an emerald crab, but I did not listen.
I catch him often picking at my tiny coral piece that I just put in there.
What do I do?!

My tank is a BioCube 29, and here is whats in it:

3x Bumble Bee Snails
1x Turbo Snail
2x Large Hermit Crabs
1x Astrea Snail
4x Nassarius Snails
1x Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
1x Fire Shrimp
1x Emerald Crab
6x Blue Legged Hermit Crab
3x Star Shaped Astrea
1x Scooter Blenny

There big alage eaters. That said if there fed they generally leave stuff alone

They're scavengers just like hermits and shrimp. Try dropping a couple sinking algae pellets close to him. They're not really known for picking at coral unless its looking for food.

Him picking around the coral frag is prob a good thing. Just him clean in it or try in to. Lol
Miss my shrimp he used to clean stuff goooood.

Yea, try a tab or even a small peice of fish or shrimp

I strap a small piece of algae sheet to a rock with a rubber band and lower it into the tank with a piece of fishing line. My nassarious and my emerald think its a smorgasbord and belly up to the buffet.

my emerald crab bothers my hermits all the time. he would attack them along with snails. but then him and my camel back shrimp disappeared(trigger fish).

is there a specific brand you reccommend?
Sounds like a good idea.
How big of a piece do you use, and how often?

I use omega one. About the size of a matchbook. Once maybe twice a week. Otherwise they'll quit hunting for food. You just want to supplement.

Emerald crabs can be vicious if they get hungry. They'll even attack your fish. Keep them plenty of food, and they're gentle creatures. Hmm... my wife says the same thing about me! Imagine that...
