Pocket pH pens

I know that Hanna makes a photospectrometer for pH that's like $50, but wouldn't a pocket pH pen be a lot cheaper and better over time... 700 hours of use and no solutions to have to use... plus I found one for $16. At a quick glance it looks like it's worth the small investment if you don't necessarily need a lot of pH control over your tank (IE needing a pH probe because you are using a calcium reactor).

Just seems like it might be more accurate than eyeballing a color chart.

What are your thoughts?

I know people who use a probe. I was going to look myself into this, as the Hanna did seem excessive knowing people use probes successfully.

The only Hanna checker for pH that I've ever seen was for freshwater. I'd like to know more about these pockets pH detectors so I'll be following along.

I use one. I wish I could get a tester for everyone of those regular tests, like No3, and No4...digital is much better then playing with chemicals and looking at color charts.
