Hello,
I am new to the salwaterfish gang and would like some help getting started. What will I need and roughly how much would it all cost. I am trying to get the most bang for my buck. I'd like to get a 50 gal tank with fish and live rock no corals just yet. Id like to start with the Nemo theme some Clownfish, maybe an anemone, and a Blue Hippo Tang and other colorful fish that would do well together. Any info would be much appreciated. :)

What Jay said. Clowns will be great though and there are so many other great fish as well.

For a 50 gallon you will need around 50 lbs of live rock and sand.

You'll need the tank, lights, pump (sump or hang on the back?), powerheads, heater(s), Rock, sand, test kit (not Api) and some water.

Are you planning on making your own salt water or buying it?

Yes sir. I'm actually thinking about moving some of my rock to the sump. I feel like I have too much rock and that's all. Lol. I have a 100 gallons of a rock tank. Pretty much all you see unless your right up on it.

And a good book I found was by the discovery channel. I'll check the title.
