high hat??

Hey guys I bought 2 clowns and a high hat Friday. I read up on the high hat and read that they tend to eat small fish if hungry, I feed him myssis shrimp twice a day but unfortunately as I was about to clean the tank I noticed one of the clowns had what looked like a bite mark on its forehead. A few minutes later he died any idea if it might have been the high hat or swam into some rocks?

So no real way to narrow it down?

Can u get a pic of the effected area? How old is your tank? Where the clowns the same type? Same size?

I disposed of the fish already. The tank is over a month old now. I've tested the water everyday for the past week or 2. Yup same type of clowns and the one that didn't make it was a bit smaller than the other but both were I'm there own corners.

Lol np. How big is the tank? Its tough with new fish, this is why you should qt. Its possible it was the hat, but i think in that case it would have eaten it

Is a qt tank a blown out set up or just bits and pieces?

Bare bottom, sponge filter , heater, pvc pipe or something artificial for them to hide.

Depends on the fish I use a 10 gal usually
