    Help with a rebuild!

Really no progress has been made in a long time. The 60 has a puffer and a christmas wrasse that have been in harmony for a long while. They seem happy and the puffer is still very small. He eats well and shows no signs of aggression. I am thinking I will soon move the wrasse in the 150...

    Novahobbies official 110g rebuild thread

Mine was just listed as a heniochus banner fish but it was from a hawaiin shipment. I got him here in town at an LFS. I did a little googling before I decided to make the purchase. This guy is definitely a Diphreutes, he has the stubbier snout, as apposed to the long snouted accuminatus and he...

That's too funny. I just added an H. diphreutes myself. I am so happy I did. The pattern/colors and the behavior is a wonderful addition to the reef! I have not have any issues with any picking, other than at the rocks. Great eater too! Good luck!

    Gorgonian; Photosynthetic vs. nonphotosynthetic

I bought another one, great price, though it was not doing well. I know nothing about this, I am assuming it's non-photo but if not, it'll go to the large tank. The purple, after it was identified was moved to the large reef under LEDS and is doing great! Here is the new guy. It's hard to tell...

    Help with a rebuild!

Hahaha no worries Meowzer... I'm not dying. lol it's just uncomfortable. I have played in my tank a zillion times and never had an issue. I frag a lot too. I don't think it was your fault. I was thinking that perhaps the corals were in the bag over night and had released the toxins or something...

    Help with a rebuild!

Yesterday I was mounting a bunch of particularly pissed off pieces of Kenya tree coral that had just shipped from OK. They had been in their bags of water, which were brown and smelly by the time they arrived. I unpacked all the little pieces, dipped them in revive and washed them with RO water...

    Help with a rebuild!

Thanks. I think I may give it just a little more brown... tone it down a couple more notches. I think it will be nice once I get all of the dark cabinetry, floors, doors and appliances surrounding it.

    Help with a rebuild!

Bummer man. I guess either it's man chores or you're out 1200.00 bucks. That is an easy choice, if you know how to fix laundry equipment. So I blended the paint and added more faux texture. It's more brown now and we like it a lot more. The color is not called "steampunk"... Steampunk is the...
