Yes you will have to keep your bioballs. I would make it a point to clean 1/3 of your bioballs every month with Aquarium water. Stick them in a bucket with your aquarium water and shake and stir them around pretty aggressively. Do that a couple of times and put them back in your filter.

The thing that sucks with glass baffles is that you can not modify them. If the glass shop is off or your measurement by a little bit then you are up a creek. Is there any way to sand glass with a palm sander or something to trim off to fit better?
Also on my circuits it says: 10kA 120/240v
Does that mean my circuit is 10amps? Anyway to upgrade to a 20amp or would I have to get another breaker box?
With the solar flare I was a little concerned with the width of the tank. Will it be able to suppy strong light to all of a 24" wide tank? Know what I mean?
Would a 48" solar flare w/ ice cap ballast overdriving 6 t5 bulbs be better than a 48" ATI powermodule 10x54 watt t5? This will be lighting a 48x24x24deep space that I would like to keep SPS, Anemones, clams.
I was leary of mine too. I took them out but had to break down my tank to do it. They are lightning quick compared to every other crab I have kept. I believe they would have no problem catching a fish if they wanted too.
I thought about that but figured I could do a wide array of corals then. Placing lower light corals on the bottom and moving to higher light corals towards the top. Think that would work?
Wow, that is a big ? Let start one at a time. I am guessing this will be a reef tank. Do you have a canopy that you want to put over the top and put your lighting in or do you just want to get a fixture?
