Its cyano for sure. Siphon off what you can and leave the lights off for 3 days and it will be gone. Cut back on your feeding and skim wet.

Depends on the monti and your tank/lighting conditions. I had one grape monti cap do it in 2 months, while my blue rim cap has barely grown an inch in 6 months.

most all anemones have high lighting requirements. Except for the pest anenome's. Ie aptasia and mojano's. What type of anemone do you have? I would be worried about it surviving long term before i would worry about any corals.

I've only had 1 out of 4 make it. And that was without anything in my tank trying to eat it.
