Recent one of Orange shoulder, He now actually has an orange shoulder and you can see the vertical separation line half way down his body.

Here's a recent one, his nose was completely flat when I got him now it's a very obvious stub on his forehead, and his color has deepened a bit

I'm lining my entire canopy with UL listed foil tape to make it highly reflective. After seeing this thread I realized that the foil tape will make it fire resistant also. I would reccomend using foil tape on your next canopy.

Yeah, kinda like an ignition coil in your car (somewhat) I got my VHO ballasts off ---- for $15 each. Just make sure they're rated for VHO and the total bulb wattage you'll be running. For some stange reason, anything that's meant for "Aquarium" useage seems to cost more ;) ;) ;)

I've heard that the ballast will provide whatever wattage is being drained from it and that larger ballasts will run smaller bulbs like a 400w ballast could run a 250w bulb. Vice-versa, if you have a 400w bulb on a 175w ballast, the ballast will try to provide 400w and burn out. I am not 100%...
