Don't you just love the smell of fresh live rock curing?

Yup, you're a true saltwater geek when you have a whole tub of curing live rock sitting in your living room, stinking up your entire house while you hover right over it with a flashlight.
And you actually try to explain why you're house reeks like a landfill if someone comes in.
They you invite them to "come and take a look at what's stinking, It's cool!"

I have not cured rock yet but I look at my tank with a 1 mil cp light with a hot tub red lense duct-taped to it.
I sleep next to my tank so I do wake up next to to my tank with a flash light in my hand sometimes! :)

Sure thing buddy, He ran 2x20amp curciuts to the tank room and one to the garage. Everythings in place except for the intake, exhaust fans and the lights. I tested the chiller today and ran the wires out to the garage for the ballast. I added 120+ pounds of live rock Wed, some Kalinie (sp?) and some Fiji. I may need another 40+ pounds to fill out the tank, I want room to grow so I may go with what I have. Everybody in the house is sick including me, I just don't feel like getting in there and moving rock around, maybe tomorrow.
Its so nice having a good skimmer to cure the rock.

Sounds like the new version is going to be better than the previous!!!
Definitely keep us posted as this progresses...I'm interested in your lighting choice also.

I'll be starting out with the 400 watt Radiums X 2. I already have the bulbs and the dual PFO HQI ballast. I might try something new when they burn out.
