    Disaster With My 90 Gallon

I have had a disaster with my AGA 90. During a move the bulkhead coming out of the bottom was hit and it caused the glass to chip around the hole on the inside of the tank. The chiping does not go all around the hole. Only about half inch across but was maintained to the width of the bulkhead...

AS the code states: All the beds, bottoms, products thereof, of the public rivers, bayous, lagoons, creeks, lakes, bays and inlets in the state and in the Gulf of Mexico within the state's jurisdiction are state property. That would go for tide pools and all kinds of rock. Those items are...

    Please Help

cover portions of the lite to keep out most all the light. Use card board or a piece of sheet metal. Then over the next week or so expose more and more of the light to the tank. They should adjust. You gave the fish the deer in the headlights pose and shocked the crap out of them.

Fiddler crabs as pets Fiddler crabs, with that one huge claw, are sold as freshwater aquarium pets, but the instructions usually given won't keep them alive for long. leave the powerhead on.. aim it so it ripples the water surface. Have you ever put just a power head in some water to see how much heat it produces? Try it some time. In a small tank it will raise the temp. Not all brands produce the same amount of heat, but they all produce some and heat is...

    Shipping Fish Advice!

Good luck. When companies ship fish they add pure O2 to the bags to aid in the survival. You will not have this to use. He would be better off taking them on the move in rubbermaid containers. Shipping will not gurantee any survival. I have moved mine ove two days drive and kept them in...

    Cooling the tank quick ?

rapid gill movement could be a sign of stress. The O2 in the water is lower as the temp rises. I know air stones are bad and make a mess but try that instead of a power head. A power head will only add heat to your tank.

    Cooling the tank quick ?

You can try dry ice also. It can get expensive but will cool quicker and cooler. Just buy like 10 to 20 lbs and use a couple of pounds every few hours just to keep the temp from rising. Just another thought---if you have some extra 3/4 inch hose and a pump--fill your tub, trash can some kind of...
