    Atlantic Carpet Anemone problem

I had an anenome kill off half of my fish. I did a 50% water change that day and another 50% one the next day and my remaining fish rebounded great.

    Red legged Hermits (killer crabs!)

When you order any hermit crabs make sure that you have extra shells lying around your tank for them to grow into or they will die if they do not have a slightly bigger shell to go into. It's actually really fun to watch your hermits search for new shells to occupy.

Who has or had a butterfly fish

I had a long nose butterfly that was great. It ate readily and was very beautiful to look at. Sadly he was crushed under falling rock about a week ago.:(

How long did it take for cleaner shrimp to start working?

I had one that would hop onto any fish that swam close to him to perform a "checkup" but his partner would ignore any fish that came to him.

Are you giving him enough veggies? If they don't get enough greens they can possibly fade in color some.

    nitrate sponge?

I had a problem with an anenome that released a lot of waste into the water. From then on my nitrates have been around 50ppm. I have done water changes and added the little bit of macroalgae I have been able to find around here but it hasn't brought it down much. I have since adopted the...

    nitrate sponge?

I was at my local LFS today to try and buy some macroalgae because my nitrates are a little high. While I was there I noticed a product called Nitrate Sponge. It looks like crushed coral and you're supposed to put it in a small nylon bag on top of your carbon in your filter and it absorbs...

    Centerpiece Fish

I wouldn't recomend two pygmy angels together. When there are two or more in a tank they tend to be aggressive toward each other. But they're not usually aggressive toward other fish so one pygmy would be great.

    black mollies and guppies

Another cool thing about them is that they give birth to live babies (not eggs) if you have a male and female mollie. My saltwater fish thought they were a great meal. I know that sounds kind of morbid, but I had two females that were constantly spitting out about 20 at a time and...
