Have long hair green algae growing all over the tank not sure what to do it is covering everything!! Can somebody let me know what to do?

WAter tests perfect, just would like to know how often should I do a water change? I have a 75 gallon with 250 watt MH and 40 watt Atinic and moon lighting. Have done 1/3 water changes once a month is that enough? Thank you in advance for your help.
