Is the 29g Bio Cube Loud?

This is where the water flows through from the first to second chamber. The BC29 comes with a plastic flow through where half is plastic and the other half is open. I simply cut out the plastic part. I also removed the stock filter and cut filter floss to size and use it on top of the drip tray.

Sapphire Nanoskimmer BC29 (Bio Cube Addon)

I called nano customs and talked to them about this one. What they said is you take all the bio-balls out of the middle chamber and put it in there, or at least that is what I got from them. I actually used a Sea-Clone 100 skimmer in mine. It works great. It hangs on the back of the tank. I...

    29 gallon set up?

No you won't. The lights are mainly for corals. That is the big ticket item so that will save you a ton of money.

    My 3 Month Old Tank

Ya I have been trying to catch the camelback for about a month and a half now. They are quick. It ate one patch of green star polyps, but haven't touched my other. I just can't bring myselft to take everything out of my tank to catch them. I was going to try a fish trap. Oh ya, some of my...

    29 gallon set up?

The red sea max has a 34 gallon set up which is very nice. It comes with t5 lighting which is alot better than power compacts. It has timers built into it/protein skimmer, pretty much everything. You can get it for about $550 if you search around. Google it and check it out.

    marical mud

All I use in the back of my tank is live rubble rock some, some filter floss to filter out small particulates, and some purigen. Purigen absorbs nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia from the water. I was reading in another forum how that miracle mud can get blown around sometimes, and I wouldn't...

    My 3 Month Old Tank

Its a purple nudibranch. I've only had him for about a week. It is an omnivore and It has been doing great. It just goes around eating algae and stuff like that in my tank. It is a bright purple and adds a ton of color.

What price range were you looking at?

    bio-balls

Bio balls should be cleaned monthly because they become a trap for nitrates. Live rubble rock is a biological filter that will work better. The purpose of that carbon bag though is to remove small particulates from the water. In my opinion you need something to remove these from the water, it...

Is the 29g Bio Cube Loud?

The fan is only on when your lights are on so at night that won't be a problem. Mine runs silently at night all I did was cut the plastic between the first and second chambers in the back to make it even all the way across the flow over. This lets all the chambers fill up and does not make a...
