    Personally, I would not take the risk. If the clown is showing even the slightest bit of aggression (i.e., nudging the hawkfish), it's a fairly good indicator that it will not take kindly to another clownfish in the tank. But, as I'm sure you know, anything can happen in this hobby.

    I highly doubt it. Fish usually have the sense to spit a puffer out if they do attempt to eat one, but the attempt alone could do some damage to the puffer.     Yes, some people have never had any problems with larger changes, but I have seen many people lose a lot of livestock because of a larger change. I will say this: I think that you have a much better chance of success if you heat the new water prior to the change.
