I have a qt tank set up and running but I just thought that maybe through using this I could avoid some of the pitfalls that come with the hobby, thanks for the reply.
Trying to learn myself because as I said in another thread I have had 2 die on me and everything checked out fine parameter wise and everything else in the tank seems to flourish and I floated and used the drip method.
If I twist the black tip on the maxi jet intake line it pumps millions of bubbles in the tank and it sounds like the power head is under strain so I don't know....Well thanks I think I will just put this in my qt and buy a better skimmer...
I'm trying to find the charger for my camera now "L"but maybe you can answer this what setting are you supposed to have the venturi on?All the way open with thousands of bubbles or closed where the water is clear? The only debris i see collects on the maxi jet intake cover and that's it.
It was brand new and i was considering replacing it with one of better quality but I wanted to make sure as I hear nothing but neg feedback about them on this site.
I have a sea clone 100 and have been using it for about 2 months and I have "never" had to empty the collection cup once.Does this mean I have a clean aquarium or is this a p.o.s.?
If you are starting a new tank then add it to the tank after cleaning it if you are adding this rock to a tank that is already established then you will need to cure it in a second tank. For maybe a few weeks mine did minimal spiking but to be safe keep testing your water and you will be fine.
Rinse it really good maybe use a toothbrush "in saltwater" and you will be good to go.I have had mine up and running for 5 months and its covered with purple and pink coraline.Good luck with it
