I have a biocube 29 that I run LEDS on. Its the Ecoxotics panorama pro. Heat is an issue with the biocube and this fixture really helps eliminate temperature swings.
Yep the skimmer works well. Pulls a cup of skim every other day. I did have the torch in the front corner but I moved it due to flow. The back corner has a less direct flow. Seems really happy where its at.
Just an update because I'm bored. The remora skimmer is working great and isn't to loud. I've added a flame angel, green monti cap, and a torch. Its been a week since I last added anything and all is well. My torch eats anytime I put food in the tank, night or day.
So I am going to leave the powerheafs on from now on. I just have my return/skimmer/powerheads on one outlet strip and instead of turning the strip off I will just unplug the return and skimmer. I might have to move my powerheads down because they are mounted high.
So everytime I do a water change my nass snails become very active. Idk why but they climb the glass and my rock exploring everything. What triggers them to move during water changes? They go right back under the sand once I restart the system.
I also have a newly set up biocube29 that has zoas and mushrooms in it. After watching your video I am def going with corals that have nice movement next. Does your flame pick at any of your coral?
It wasn't that bad last night. The waterfall of the return was the loudest part and I fixed that with some filter pad. Should quiet down even more they claim. I did notice that they have already included all the mods to quiet things down.
