how long can the inverts stay without filtration? also what about the live sand ? also wouldn't that be the same as putting them into the quarantine tank with tank water?btw thanks so much for your help.

yes I have shrimp crabs and snails. also should I put my damsels in quarantine , they are showing no signs YET??????

also how often is ick actually cured? I am alittle bit in denial that anything can besaved after previous experience with clown fish disease .oh and btw water perameters is amm 0 nitrates0 nitrites 0 ph 8.2 , temp 78 degrees. I guess this came from stress of moving the fish?
I just bought a flame angel and 2 little tiny yellow tailed damsels and a cleaner shrimp last night at lfs. All looked healthy. Now my flame has very light almost unnoticable white spots aka ick. I have read a lot of info and am confused on what to do? I didn't quarentine (I know bad idea)...
I have a 29 gal tank with live rock and live sand . I just recently bought a purple pseudochromis and I am looking for at least 2 other fish that would be compatible with this fish, small enough for my tank and a nice color contrast. I really like bright color.
The way I understand it people here are recommending 2 small ones , one one each end rather then 1 large one. When you buy them they either say for up to 20 gal, for up to 30 gal ect or 150 gph or 200 gph. I just got one too and mine is 170 gph at walmart 18.86, i think. I didn't know I needed 2...
I have live rock but no powerheads . I am wondering if I absolutely have to have them for the rock? I haven't had them for the last 6 months although I just added lr last week.

Hi , I have a sebae and ocellaris clown. I noticed my sebae has white stringy poop soemtimes. I was just wondering if you are suppose to give clowns vegatable matter? I feed them new life spectrum flakes and they eat like crazy.I am not seeing any symptoms of being sick or anything like that but...
