I am wanting to build a canopy top for my 29gal biocube and need some help. What type of wood would you use? I thougt about the wood that works as endcaps for kitchen cabinets. It's thin and flexible to get the small flex at the front of the tank? Would this work? Would I need to put a sealer on...

What pump does everyone suggest for a 29gal Bio Cube which has the quick coupling dispense tubes spready out in the tank? I have a Surge m3000 now but the impeller rod has broken and I can't find a replacement for it.
