brad, just a thought, set up a temp (i.e. 10 gal), for him, make sure YOU LET THE NEW SALTWATER SIT FOR3 HRS before ADDED!! new salt is caustic, that maybe the cause.

Dont forget a wet dry is a severew trate farm ( as i, anf $600 worth of fish know now), there are ways around it. Please dont hesitate to drop me a line, im not selling anything, just want to save marine life!!!!!!!

Veskas, would like to share my experience. Ever had a trate prob? I do. Wet/dry, and all that, well, as it turns out without significant liverock, and I mean alot, u will. there is a way aroung it. ever seen a hammer coral. yes, they are hard to keep, well, i saw one in a tank that was over 8...

like to help, but, never had that problem. BEWARE, a canister filter will not push a salt water setup, u are lacking biological. good luck

Wayne, I agree with Beth, but you are loosing fish for another reason. Are u using live rock? what are your trites,ammonia, trates? SG? temp? please contact me, i will try to help u, and dont listen 100% to what ANYONE, even i, have to say. If you are with it in a year, u will know what i mean...

Fish only?? u can go as low as 1.017, trust me im doing it, that is the salinity of a fish, so it reduces stress of trying to accomodate higher levels. reef? Thats another matter.

that lighting is fine for just rock, but is it a reef? If it is, I highly recommend skipping VHO and buying instead compacts. They put off the spectrum, enough light (vho's dont do foor aropoa), and dont raise tank temp.!!
