Favia/Favites Help.... Are they Dying? Pic included.

I moved them up a little last night. I also squirted some wild toe and brine on them and all of my corals last night. I will take pics when I get home later. The blue one actually glows at night but the maroon one doesn't have much color under the blue led's.

Favia/Favites Help.... Are they Dying? Pic included.

Hello all. I bought an established (2+yrs) Aquapod 24 about 3 months ago and i've been on a learning quest ever since. I've put hundreds of dollars of corals in it and now i'm trying to get the to grow as quickly as possible. I run the stock PC lights which combine to 64w. All of my other corals...

Water Param's good but still have algae problem. Please give me advice.

Wow I didn't know coraline was algae. I've got that growing too but it's cool so I dont complain about it. Last night I popped the bubble algae off of my back wall and siphoned it out the best I could. I also cleaned my sand bed, put my sponge filters back in, and moved my extra power head to...

Water Param's good but still have algae problem. Please give me advice.

Okay so i've learned so much from researching and hands on experience over the last few months it's crazy. I bought an established Aquapod 24 off of a friend a few months back and I've been stocking it ever since. It's pretty full now and i'm content if I could only keep all of this damn algae...

    Serpent Starfish eating clowns?

My bad I was reading a heater thread. I meant pump. My pump impeller went out but the motor was still running causing it to get extremely hot. Yeah I normally don't buy from ***** but I figured they'd live longer than 5 days.

    Serpent Starfish eating clowns?

BTW this is in a reef 24g aquapod, PC's, upgraded pump and an extra powerhead. SG is 1.026 and temp is around 77.

    Serpent Starfish eating clowns?

So ive been battling this for the last few weeks. I went out of town and I come back and my buddy said that my clownfish just disappeared! I figured it was because my heater went out and it got a little hot in there 82ish. Well I fixed the heater and let it be for a few days. My sixline and my...

Back at it.... this time with a 12 gallon nano

upgrade the pump to a unit that uses less power. That stabilized my temps to an acceptable range.

    Chillers

I was at about 80 with the feeder lid propped open. I upgraded my pump to a unit that used half the power and now my temps are at a steady 76-78. I'd try that before spending money on a chiller.

    Another Darwin Award candidate

Wow it's a shame what this world has come to. I believe the teacher should not be a fault at all. I mean sure he should have been looking over the class but it wasn't his decision to put clamps on this kids nipples.

    What is your "show fish"?

I run a nano tank so I dont really have a show fish. I guess the coolest fish I have is a Coral Beauty. But my favorite is my clown. Pretty typical ehh?

    Hosting Timeline...

I have a love hate relationship with my clown. He is probably my favorite fish. He is really cool but he always stays in the top corner of the tank. I only have PC's in my nano so I don't believe I have the proper lighting for a nem, but I have a torch coral and a frogspawn I was hoping he would...

    PH Question?

^YES   The tropic marin CA additive is very good. It's not a two part deal and it has all of your trace elements in it also. I have heard nothing but great things about it. I am currently using the Seachem Reef Fundamental pack but will switch to the Marin after im out.
