I use them cause they fit into my 9.5 mag pump. they work very well for filtering, but the quick filter cartridges cost only 3 or 4 bucks for two. The plastic part cost around 8 to 10 $
any one know where i can get a 3/4" PVC Check Valve ? only found 1-1/2" at home depot. Found them in various other website but are a rip off. plumbing supply store sre not much of a help either.
heres what u do take the skimmer off the tank and throw it in the trash or sell it to some other sucker cause that things sucks. One thing i've learned about from keeping fish is you get what u pay for.

I bought a sea clone when I first got into the hobby, I regretted it terrribly. and it now sits in my basement. I bought a 150 which is rated much higher then they should be only goog for about 50 gallon tank. I would save up and buy something a little better.
