You can pump the water into the fuge and let it overflow back into the sump. You will need to drill the fuge at the level you want the water to be. Elevate the fuge so the pvp pipe can go over the top of the sump and into the return section. Remember the flow in the fuge is very slow mine...

40ppm is bad but its not the end of the reef(as long as it doesnt remain). The only thing I might ask is your test solution the same and you watched your nitrates go up, or is the bottle new. The reason I ask is I have two test kits and one shows less than 10 and the other shows 40(older one)...

Corals are where its at, who cares about the fish. I say by a mp20, couple clowns, and a hell of alot of coral.

Check the big reef site for sales as well as cl and your local club. There are alot of reefers in NY. Save alot of money buying used.

I just try to keep as much over the pump as possible so the pump dont go dry if I for get to add water. I have not setup an ATO yet.
