It is underwater. It only has one, 1" pipe. From the bulk head I have a 1" ID hose connect to a 1" valve. This setup is in the basement so its not to bad but it just seems crazy loud. The only thing I hear from my 54g is the fan on the mh lights.

You can find base rock for around $2 a pound. Doesnt look great in the short term but will come along quick with the tek5.

I put the MP40 (one) in my 54 corner and love it. Have you tried the reef mode? Im back and forth on the two settings. Night mode is a great addition that isnt talked about much. Just would like to hear your opinion.
