well as for hermits some can be a nuisence (excuse the spelling) but they are an essential part. They sometimes like to move rock and kill snails. As for fish if your going to have a med/deep sand bed i would go with a goby or a blenny they are fun to watch and relitivly easy to take care of...

well the sudden light change isn't natural. What i like to do it turn on my 55 watt pc's with actinic for an hour and then after that turn on my other 55 wat smart lights. i TRY to simulate sunrise/sunset.

well to answer your question there little white bugs. They are good for your tank. When you build a refugium you get alot more copepods. Also you shouldn't have to buy them almost every piece of live rock has them.

i would go with a plain color back drop. Paint it nice but you cant change it after. Also don't get those stupid ones with the reef pictures on it. I mean come on? Who want to see a picture of a reef when you can build your own <img src="graemlins//silly.gif" border="0" alt="[silly]" />

indeed if you transfer your lights from your 55 gal to your 120 gal u will get like .5 wpg. You need better lights. I suggest a protein skimmer. As for adding your creatures i would put more lr in there first cause when u put in there it will kick up sand. after that put your clean up and...

well it all depends on what kind of reef and inverts u stock. I would definatly get 10k they are pretty. And alway get actinics with regular lights. Check what u want and see how many wpg it needs. On my tank i have pc with two actinics at 40 watts and then i have a smartlight with 55...
