Thanks for the input. I know lighting gets expensive, and I would rather only have to upgrade once. Sounds like I'll stick with shopping for 250 watt halides. Hopefully this set up doesn't create too much heat for the canopy!

would a panther grouper be an option, i always wanted one when I had aggressive, but never found one locally before changing to serene?

I am considering a prizm hang on skimmer, any reccom. Also, i had no idea choc chip starfish were not reef safe, thanks for the warning, and finally, 20x turnover, what would you reccomend? A strong powerhead or a couple smaller ones? I have also seen the swivel type.
