well then why is my nitrates so high?

well guys i just tested my water the reating is ammonia 0 nitrite 0 and nitrate 20. Does that mean that the ammonia has already spiked and the nitrite and all i am waiting for is the nitrate to go down. please help i would really appreciate it.

well i really didnt test everything every day so i was j/w if it could have already happened. I added a few snails just to see and they are fine. Oh and i put them in yesterday at 8 in the morning. Does this mean anything or not? thanks for any help you can give me.

ya its weird mine will host in a fake one but not a real one. Give it time i promise it either will or wont just give it some time.

dont really know what you are asking but the water drains from the drain pipe.(pvc pipe). Then goes to your sump or refugium and it returns to your main tank with a return pump. Which goes back to the second hole. (pvc pipe your return pipe). That is how it works.
