I have a 37 gallon tank, its pretty tall as well. I have a penguin filter w/ bio wheel hanging on the back. my water level gets low pretty quickly, within a day or two its noticeably low. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make it so my tank doesn't sound like 5 waterfalls due...

I have two hermit's that keep on climbing to the WAY top of my aquascape, just to rest on the "stump" of my leather coral, and i heard if the crabs annoy the coral enough it will effect it alot... any ideas on keeping them away? besides moving them constantly?

Sorry to bring this back alive, but i emailed the person i bought it from, and i will be returning it asap, and he will be replacing it... but just a side note, today out of nowhere, it turned on, without me touching it, and stayed on for a good half hour / hour or so, when i touched the wires...

well it came as a package kind of thing, i bought the ballast with the bulb already in it, i replaced the bulb thinking htat was the problem, both being same watt...

I have a smaller, 37 gallon tank right now, well established, and an even smaller 8 gallon biocube, the biocube has nothing in it right now, i was thinking of taking some LR and water out of my 37, try to skip some of the cycling, and doing something witht he tank, any ideas? also the lighting...

hmm i still dont understand what the problem could be then... i tried both ways, sitting it in, pushing it in all the way ... both ways, not quite sure..

also, should the side slot things "snap" in to the ballast? or does it just sit firmly, i can sit mine in there, and also press it in deeper

What i dont understand is, when you position the bulb in, is there a wrong way to put it in? since it fits either left to right, or right to left... if that makes sense... fits like L [hr] R and R [hr] L into the ballast.

Yeah its a Ultralight one, with legs that extend it over the tank. the bulb is a Double ended one.

I have a Ultralight ballast, with 2x 64w PC's, 4 lunar lights, and in the middle, 1x 250w MH light, its a brand new bulb 14k.... for some reason, it does NOT turn on, i have the PC's on, the lunar lights on, but the MH does not turn on. I am not really familiar with MH because this is my first...

ok, yeah the nitrates weren't an exact reading or anything, i didnt check them that day, i checked them today and they were around 0 - 3 or so

Right now i have a 37 gallon tank. it's kinda taller than usual, but is also a longer one at that. if that makes any sense...lol....but anyways i just replaced my bad lights and put in a fixture *Ultralight ballast* with: 1x 250w MH 2x 65w Pc's (using 2 actinics) 4x Lunar lights i was wondering...
