my test kit is a aquarium pharmaceuticals test. Actually all of them are of this brand. I have not taken it to the lfs.....they use the same test as myself. I can not check alk as i do not have a test for this. any other ideas??? Josh

any time i find bubble algae in my tank i get a hose and start a siphon with it. use it to siphon all the algae out of the tank. try not to burse the bubbles if at all possible to avoid spreading the algae. i just use the end to sort of scrape them off the surface and the siphon sucks them...
