check you silica and phosphate levels. They will cause blooms. Run some seachem phosguard if you do not have test kits. It will eliminate it and evetually knock out the bloom. Also, make sure you are skimming well and not over feeding but I'll bet it is a silica/phosphate issue.

I had a ton of them in a mixed tank and they always just came out at night on the glass in 8 years I have never seen them harm anything.

When they expand that is good and at nigh you can feed them

I never had any probs with them except they get covered with coraline and losee their bee look :)

Trust me Seachem phosguard. Just run you water over it through a canister of sorts and it will nail it down.

Don't waste your time they will not survive in the longrun. They are fun until you have to much live rock....then they cannot move around and eventully burry themselves and die. These are creatures best left to the ocean.

you will regret ever using tap water....RO/DI only. Take from someone who made that rookie mistake 5 years ago. Unless you have good well water....even then I would filter it.
