i need to buy a mh bulb and dont know which one will match my ballast. all i know is it is 250 watts.can some body help me?

if it was me i would mix up the salt water the night before so all i had to do the next day would be to drain and then fill it back up. this will also let the salt have enought time to fully dissolve.. and if you get one of the big siphon tubes to drain the water it shouldnt take that much time.

my 2 cents is this........if always buy big you will always be able to upgrade........for example.....i started out with a 20 gallon.....went big on the filter and on the mh light. then i found a 55 gal for sale cheap.....already had a good filter and light just needed one more mh...

yeah i took him out........no hospital tank thou so what is velvet disease and can the other fish get it?

ok i just bought a 250 watt medal halide......i have a 175 watt on the left and now a 250 on the right......is this to much light for a 75 gal? my goal is to be able to keep any type of coral i want.....at least that is the goal. but this light is bright. also will this light affect the fish in...

fox face maybe........clown goby no....... dont really like the way they look...imo.... however i did just order a manderin goby, horseshoe crab, emerald crab, more pepermints, blueleg crabs, and a bta. had to make it up to the 79 bucks to get the free shipping. thanks for your input tho.

Thanks for the info. Let's say I went to a bigger tank like a 125.... and I might be getting a little outrageous here.. but I'm brainstorming.. and still fairly new at all this... what about Octopus, eels, or maybe sharks? Maybe a little much to ask or impossible in one tank.

try moving the rock to another part of the tank. anemones like to go where the light is at and if you move the rock to where there is not as much light maybe he will move.

is the nitrates the only thing that is kinda high?

the tests are brand new. i just bought it at the store. it is saltwater master liquid test kit by aquarium pharmaceuticals. i do have fish in there too. i also have a magnum 350 on there for added filtration.should i do a water change?

this is the first time i ever tested.....)i know .....i know.....)the tank has been set up for over a year. would adding live rock and then doing the test cause my nitrates to jump right away like that.....because i did just add 50 pounds of live rock.do i need to do a water change?
