from what i've read the wavelenght of light probably wouldn't be right to grow corals, cause if it was everyone would use them instead of spending hunderds of $$$ on light setups.

i'm going with a dsb in my new 80 and have put in 55lbs so far of aragonite, but how much ls? I was thinking about 20 lbs and about 120 lbs of lr. greg

just setting up 80 gal reef tank and would like some input on best way to cycle it. should i get all the lr at once? also some ideas on substrate. my lfs said that 1" to 1 1/2" would do, what do yo think? :)
