    naso tang vs. yellow tang

Thanks for your help. Everything made it through the night. After the yellow tang started picking on the 2 new fish, we put a net between them for a couple hours. That settled them down. He "hazed" the naso a few more times, but now they are like brothers. I think he just wanted to let them know...

    larger tank?

I would like to get a larger tank. I currently have a 95 gallon and would like to upgrade to a 125-150. But I would like to put it on the same wall of my house that my current tank is. I think the wall would look nice with the tank the whole length (my wish). Is this possible? without selling...

    naso tang vs. yellow tang

I'm so excited, I just got my naso tang from saltwaterfish.com, I also got a copperband butterfly. I followed the drip acclimation procedure to the T. I released my 2 fish into my aquarium (95 gallon) and they were ok for a few minutes until my yellow tang noticed them. The yellow immediately...

    Mr. Ugly Fish

It's been a year now, and my UGLY fish is still thriving. I like to sit and just watch him stare back at me with those glassy eyes. He is in my 90 gallon reef, and doesn't bother anyone. He does stay down towards the bottom. I found this picture and it is a Longspine Waspfish. Check out this...

    Tangs!!

I read that you can keep 3 or more tangs in a tank. Do the tangs have to be the same kind? or do all tangs get together regardless of species. How big of a tank do you need? Thanks

Peppermint shrimp, Aptisa, and snowflake eel?

I have found some Aiptasia in my tank. Just a few pieces, and by reading some threads on this sight, a majority of answers to getting rid of the Aiptasia is to use peppermint shrimp. I have a snowflake eel in my tank (a smaller one, 6" (small mouth)(diamater around the size of your pinky)). I...

    feather dusters...good or bad?

I have a 90 gallon with a sump under the cabinet. Both the tank and the sump have quite a few little baby feather dusters. They have the worm body and the little feather coming out. Are these alright for your tank. We probably have a good 50 or more in the tank and a dozen or more hanging on the...

    Smoke gets in your eyes!!

SMOKE!! Gets in your eyes! We awoke this past weekend at 2:30 in the morning with a strange smell. Upon entering our living room, it was filled with smoke (we are getting a smoke detector). Couldn't find a fire anywhere, though I did call 9-1-1 in hopes that they could help us locate where the...

    Maroon clown

i just got a maroon for my 11g, right now he is about an inch 1/2 and is the only fish in the tank, so he should be fine for now. i know they can get as big as 5-6 inch, but i do not know how fast they get that big. do not weary he's going in my 90g when he starts to get too big for the 11g. :)
