hey mark...they are white sand sifting crabs i believe..just your normal crabs that come in with the tide (atlantic) and then hurry on down thru the sand... I'd think they'd be great sand sifters...but I wondered if they would need more air ? or current than they would get in a tank. THanks...

I'm a newbie..I've had my 55 set up for couple months now and have added 5 different coral...Tonite I brought a large emerald crab from the LFS and I just caught him eating my xenia... I thought they were reef safe...any advice? I dont wanta wake in the morning and all my coral be gone....

I did have the water tested yesterday before I purchased the RG at a LFS. They said all my levels were great. The tank has been up now for about 3 months and I have been adding everything very slowly and having the water tested each week. They did tell my salinity level was a litttle high...

OK..I JUST SAW A NEW WORM...its kinda red/gray with spikey things on the side... is that a good worm/bad worm... sorry to ask so many questions about this live rock..i just dont know what is good and bad...

btw we did add about 12 snails and little hermit crabs this week..but no fish til the weekend... i added two little frags of coral this week :) seems to be alive n well at this point...i'm so excited...but trying to be patient... :happyfish

i was just afraid the worms were a bad thing... i have this book saltwater aquariums for dummies..but i found very little information about worms in it...they're big ole long clear looking worms or tenacles..its hard to say because they only come part of the way back in then go back in the same...

i am a new salt water tanker...and my tank just cycled. i have some live rock, but this weekend, i added a new piece..was gorgeous..the LFS said the rock had come from a customers tank...the rock appears to be filled with these clear long worms or something with tenacles... they mostly come out...
