My tank has been up and running about 6 months. I have two powerheads plus the sump return pump so there is plenty of water movement. Lights are on from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. and I feed twice a day. :confused:

I've got a black cap in with my maroon and they have no problem at all. The black cap, as a matter of fact is a little timid but when I just sit and watch, he comes out hovers in the water and follows my movements. A real personality. :p

Also have acoral beauty in our 50 and he does the same. No hassling the corals

No. The coral beauty is very docile and just kinda swims around and works on the LR. I also have an anemone (pink tipped) and he is great. He is the only anemone I've had any luck with. Had a Big Green Carpet who was doing fine till he decided to walk and then faded and died.

Can you put a refugium between the main tank and the sump and, if so, which way should the flow be. From the main tank through the refugium to the sump or from the sump to the refugium to the main tank? :confused:

I asked for a definition of a refugium yesterday and though I got a response , I still don't get it. I have a sump with a skimmer but apparently the refugium is something else. Someone please explain the difference.

Very simple question. What is a refugium? I have seen it mentioned many times in this forum.

This is no way intended as criticism but I started reefing about months ago and I can't stop. We started with a 46 bow front, got major hooked, started a 10L fish only and I just got a 75 reef cycled and am adding coral and fish at an alarming financial rate. I just can't stop. How do you all...

i was browsing the message board and saw that someone had referred to feeding their open brain. Mine is fantastic, healthy and I've never fed it. I also saw mention of feeding anemones and that they should be tan in color, not white. Some info please.

I just went to a LFS and was hoping to buy some new corals, but, their tanks all had bubble algae in them. I'm concerned about getting it loose in my reef. What do you think?
