I put foam in the two black boxes that the water coming out of the skimmer flows though:D

I just dump the cup out when I clean mine, I think the gook on the inside of the cup helps the dry foam to rise up to the top and overflow, so I dont clean it unless I have to.:yes:

I tried a heli one time and never got it off the ground and so I went back to my airplanes I can fly them alot better. Guess I was always flying my plane and just forgot about the heli so I never learned how to fly it

I put some foam in each of the black boxes and that seems to work good, it is on my fuge though and not in the tank so I really never looked for bubbles. I put in the foam to help quiet the sound of water,but it also helped the bubbles. I have only had it for about 2 weeks now so it is still new...

I put some flex tube on mine also, it help the sound of running water in my fuge and now i cant even here it. :joy:

I hope so, it just seems like there are 1000s of them in the fuge but I dont see as many in the tank, it is cool though I like to wacth them chase each other and stuff

Sounds like a bristle worm, everyone that I have talked to says that they are good to have, they keep your sand clean.

But how do I get them from my fuge up to my tank:notsure:

I think I will try that I ordered some stuff called Detox 2 it says that it will remove phosphates and ammonia, guess I will give it a try. :yes:

Tanks for the reply, I just dont want the phosphates to leach back into the tank later on down the road. I read steve wests thoughts on phospates and he says that the rock will absorb it and then leach back out later on.

I thought that anything decomposing like animals or food would add phosphate. I do have some life in the tank it has been up for 3 mounths with a little bit of rock and now I have pods and flatworms and featherdusters and differnt kinds of worms and 3 crabs. What do you think I should do...

I just ordered 40 pounds of live rock and don't know if I should put it in my tank or not. I don't have anything in the tank yet and not concerned about a ammonia spike, however I am concerned about phosphate. My question is will curing rock put phosphates in the tank and if so should I cure it...

I just got one this week and I love it, it works great! Got it on monday and in one day it was pulling out green gunk and making good dry foam. I did not get the box you are talking about though. So how do you like it? I think it is a great skimmer.

thanks, do they eat a lot of pods? or just a little bit . I have like a millon in my fuge.
