there was a typo... nitrates are 15-20 ppm or more... nitrites low and ammonia is very low.

nitrates greater than 20 ppm...good sign or bad?

well it was a brand new tank that i started with 150 lbs. of live rock and 80 lbs live sand... i have been ghost feeding for about 1 week... all are very low... nitrite is pretty high but nitrates and ammonia are low

Just as the title states, when is the cycling process finished? I have 125 gallon tank that has 80 lbs of live sand and 150 of live rock and i have put it in about 2 weeks ago. Ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite never really spiked, so is it technically done? Also, I bought the live rock and sand...

whats a good clean up crew to start with with a tank my size...

i bought the rock from this website, so it was precured and shipped. i got it and put it in my tank with live sand and now have skimmer, power heads, filters running, with lights on for about 2 hours per day... anything other suggestions? Also kevin

I just added live rock and live sand to my 125 gallon tank... will that cycle my tank or should i still add food or shrimp to the tank too? Also, i have powerheads and filters on, skimmers and lights off, is this a good set up? Any suggestions would help? Furthermore, how long til it is done...

I got my live rock today... 150 lbs of it. I also got my 80 lbs. of live sand. I laid the live sand in the tank, then pre cleaned the live rock and laid it on top of my live sand. This is okay right? I am cycling the tank now right? Power heads on, heater on... lights on or off? Any help would...

well i am just now starting the tank, so the live rock going in is the first thing other than the water... leave lights off? Protein skimmer off too? Wont the die off from the live rock really mess the tank up?
