I've had a green bubble tip for about 8 months and shortly after I got it the bubbliness disappeared. Other than losing it's shape it seems fine. I feed it 3 times a week and it hosts one of my clowns. It has also gotten larger. Can anyone tell me why the bubbles have gone?

Ok thanks, I'll give it a try. I just figured a lot of my water was displaced with rocks and sand that I only had about 40 actual gallons of water in the tank which was why I was doing 5 gal a week.

sorry no pic. The water level doesnt stay even with the pipe. It sucks a bunch of air making a lot of noise.

If I leave the outlet wide open it cannot siphon fast enough to keep the box that hangs on the outside full. It sucks air. the box on the inside is full.

at my lfs they hav a nano with small pieces of live rock which they glued magnets to. they are stuck all the way up the back of the tank with coral growing on them, looks pretty cool

yes, the overflow box has 2 tubes,one is smaller than the other and I put a ball valve a few inches uderneath so I could control how much water is being siphoned down into the rubbermaid tub.

I was telling the guy at my lfs the other day that I'm getting ready to set up a turf scrubber on my tank and he told me that if I used a plastic tub for the sump to make sure I got one that was food safe so it wouldn't leech chemicals into my water. What tubs are food safe?

I agree with Reeforbrains. I started with a dsb and when I recently moved I got rid of all my sand except for enough to cover the bottom.
