    redwarrior's 14g biocube work reef :D

So far, I've been able to keep 2 of them. I'm not sure how they'll do long term in such a small tank, though...they take a LOT of filter feeding. If I knew of someone better able to care for them, I'd give them up, but for now, I'm just trying to feed them as I can.

    redwarrior's 14g biocube work reef :D

Ok, so my old thread had the wrong title (I now have a 14g, not a 12g) AND got buried, so I decided to start a new thread. Happily, I have more pictures, so there should be more to see and less to read this time around! I started just over a month ago with a 14g biocube for work. I removed the...

My First Tank - 12 Gallon Nano

I've had my hands all over this rock sniffing it for anything going bad and peeling off some sponges going south. I'm not sure, but if there was a mantis shrimp, it probably would have part of one of my fingers by now. :) From talking to some "mantis" people, it seems more likely that this is...

My First Tank - 12 Gallon Nano

My tank had an ammonia spike over the weekend. The rock is quite a bit more bare now, but the snails were more active today than they ever have been. I'm hoping this means that we're over the hump. I also saw many feather dusters and there were tiny white spots on the glass...the snails...

7 Idiotic things you can ask about A marine tank

So, why don't you have any fish yet? (This asked 2 days after I set up my tank.) ;) I'm considering telling my coworkers that I don't like fish and I just want to look at the water until my tank cycles! ;)

My First Tank - 12 Gallon Nano

You want pics? Well, I got pics, but no water yet! Here is my tank, ready to go, with my live sand and reef crystals next to it. (Don't worry, a refractometer is on my wish list...a hydrometer will have to do in the meantime.) (Pics didn't work...moving them...) I even already have a tank...

My First Tank - 12 Gallon Nano

I ended up having to get a 14g biocube. The place I ordered the 12g from couldn't get the lights for months. It turns out that it is a CADlights tank and they may be discontinuing it. I even looked on their website and couldn't find it listed. It's a shame because I really was in love with...

My First Tank - 12 Gallon Nano

Well, to cheer myself up, I went to the LFS and picked up a 20# bag of live sand and reef crystals so that when/if my tank arrives, I'll be ready to get started. :) I went with the aragalive "black" Tahitian sand, which really isn't black, but black mixed with white, but I still think it will...

My First Tank - 12 Gallon Nano

Well, oddly enough I still don't have the ability to edit my own posts in this thread. I did remove any other references I have to other vendor's sites elsewhere. Mod help?! I finally found the GOOD LFS in town after visiting the icky one on saturday. At the place today the tanks were...
