    AquaC EV-120 Skimmer + Mag5 Pump

I've got an EV-120 in sump skimmer plus a Mag5 pump that has only been used for about 3 months, it just doesn't fit my sump setup properly so I needed to switch models. Complete setup retails for about $350 looking to get $250 plus shipping.

    zooanthid growth?

The tank is only a total of 16" deep and they're about 6" down, I have 130 total watts PC's. There are frags that have fallen off and are sitting on the substrate (because I haven't gotten around to moving them) and they are not "reaching" like the upper ones are. They all look extremely healthy...

    zooanthid growth?

I bought a colony of green zoos at ***** they were all attached to a fairly sizable rock... they've been in the tank for probably 3 weeks and they seem to be growing away from the rock, they were short and very close to the rock originally and now they've grown a semi-transparent base and seem a...

Treating ich - what about DT while all fish in QT?

I know public aquariums make common practice of a FW bath as part of their quarantine process which EVERY fish goes through prior to being introduced to the aquarium. It's my understanding that it does absolutely no harm to the fish to give them a 3-5 minute freshwater dip.... someone correct me...

Treating ich - what about DT while all fish in QT?

I have a fairly new tank, 30 gals, 45 lbs of live rock, 60 lbs live sand and some zoos. I also have about 12 snails and about 25 crabs, I just invested in a QT tank which I'm cycling now having discovered and diagnosed one of my clowns as having ick. I have two clowns, two three stripe damsels...

    Cycling sand?

Well I planned to do as outlined above, remove everything into a 30 gal rubbermaid and then add the sand and slowly pump the water in on top of a trash bag (as I've read), the dust storm shouldn't be too bad and the filters should be able to clear it up in an hour or two (I hope). All the...

    Cycling sand?

Yes, I have 45 pounds of cured live rock now. The system is fairly stable but I can't seem to completely eliminate the nitrates. I had an anemone for about 3 weeks but it just died so I feel like the only way to get the nitrates down and keep them down is to switch to a sand bed from crushed...

    Cycling sand?

Just realized the sand I bought online is dry packed so it's not "live" sand... however also advertised is a live sand that can be used to "jump-start" the process... I have a 30 gal that is essentially fish only with just one zoo that I found super cheap at the LFS... I'm swapping crushed...
