Hello there!!! Hey, I just did a search on filter media & still didnt find what I was looking for, so I was hoping that some of you experts out there could help. My 55 just finished its cycle, all readings - 0, (trates 15) for 3 days now so I'm preparing for my first water change and am confused...

Thanks for the reply, Ive got 2 550's in my 55 with just one of them hooked up to an airlline thats pumping in the bubbles, dont really like the way it looks either, but figure it has to be beneficial.:confused:

JCARROLL: I have been looking all over for a thread on aeration, and was wondering if it is detrimental to have the powerhead putting to many bubbles into the water. Can you give it too much oxygen? thx

Hello everyone, Have a two week old tank that seems to be finishing its cycle since my ammonia and nitrite are both down to .25, but, the nitrates are going down also, from 10 to 0 in about 3 days. Im just confused, thought they were supposed to be going up? Also, could ya point me in the right...

Hello, Hoping someone might have an idea of what these little white critters are crawling on the glass in my tank. Tank is only 2 wks old, wondering if they came with the LS and this is normal. They are very very tiny. Thanx

So I just re-read this chapter in this book that says you can start the cycle by adding one or two hardy fish to get it going, does anyone agree that this will work????
