I have read several books on saltwater aquariums and they have all told me that if you want to put an airstone or bubble wand into your tank you can. It all depends on your personal prefrences.

I don't know about a saltwater tank but I did use bleach to clean my plastic plants in my fresh water tank. I don't know if I would recommend it, however all my fish are still alive.

i have an instant ocean hydrometer(Cheap Plastic) and works great. I have been told by many LFS owners that refractometers are not a nessisary item. "Don't listen to the LFS", right.....now when a LFS tells me not to buy something that they would make more money off of I figure they must be...

I'm having a similar problem however my sand is turning a purpleish color, and it has also been set up for aprox 4 months now.

everyone says bad things about it, however my seaclone100 has done an awsome job!!

that tank is incredible! Almost makes me want to go all out with corals!!!!!

depending on what you have in your tank. I have had my tank running for about three months now and I just did my second change. I don't really do a monthy or weekly water change. My approach is to change as my paramiters change. I wouldn't recommend this but I have a friend who has had a...
