i was planning on getting a fish that would be able to stand up to the agression of my maroon, and i was looking at tangs, between a yellow and blue one, i really like the blue ones though. Would u guys recommend it to mix with my maroon in a reef tank. she is pretty terretorial and aggressive

30 Gal. Eclipse 3. i dont mind making minor mods to fit a seaclone or something, but i think a bak-pak or prizm would be too much of a task.

I have a $100 budget and wanted to know whats the best hang-on skimmer. Im considering the seaclone 100. any help would be appreciated.

i baught a new frogspawn yesterday and when i put it in my tan k thought one of the tentacles had burst cause there was a white shell like thing in the middle of one of the branches. then i got home at night i noticed it had what looks like a claw/hand that comes out and seems to be "grabbing"...

what is a safe way to remove red bugs parisiting my Xenias without harming my other reef inhabitants?

I was just looking closely at my xenias and noticed microscopic things crawling over the tentacles and mouth. they look like microscopic brown specks, and they are nor copepods. does anybody know what they are?

its not a tiger. because the body had extruding bumps and its skin had flagella or spikes that protrude.

i have been seeing shrimplike pods in my tank and i dont know if theyre mantis or amphipods. they do have the large front appendages like antis but they look similar to the pictures of apmhipods. how can i distinguish the 2?

i was lookin around on my glass today at the snail babies and noticed what looks like an enlarged bacteria cell. it is oblong shaped and has what appears to be cillia or tiny hairs all around it. it is about 3mm long and moves around. it is definately not a copepod or flatworm.

i got this snail/cowrie a few weeks ago but my lfs didnt know what it was, and i want to research it a bit. it has what looks like orange bumps on the shell and the actual skin had orange bristle like appendages that come out, looks like thorns.
