i think i might be getting a clown trigger for my new tank. or a blue jaw, can't decide!

mine will eat my hand :confused:. lol but my clown fish where the same when i first got them. so i asked my lfs what they feed them and feed them that. and now it will eat anything.

at the moment i have a 40g soft coral tank with inverts. in that tank i have a ocellaris clown fish, eibli angel, small powder blue tang, and my 3'' humu trigger. im upgrading to a 100g for the tang.

if you want to do the triggerfish with the damsels that would work. i have kept two damsels with my humu trigger for months without any problems. the trigger would beat up on the damsels every now and then.

its just my opinion that a 4' swimlane is plenty for a smaller angel.

i keep coral and shrimp with my trigger.

a bursa trigger in a 55g will work without problems. just get one that is 3" or smaller. bursa trigger fish grow very, very, very, slow. it will take the trigger 10 years to out grow the tank. a healthy bursa trigger should grow .5'' every year untill they reach the size of 5''. then it slows...

lol im guilty. IMO a 9" fish can thrive in a 75.

yea if it is eating prepared food its fine.

mine wants to run the tank. it gives my triggerfish a run for its money, mine perfers to hang around rock work instead of using the swimming lane. but in all a calm slow swimming fish that eats all day.

no thats great that you are doing that. but trigger need a lot of protien in their diet. mysis has a good amount of protien but not enough to just feed that. silversides are ok but dont offer your trigger much. i would look into some more protien rich food such as raw shrimp.

for a trigger i feed at least 4 different types of meaty food. i feed raw shrimp, mysis, squid, silversides< and freeze dried shrimp. mysis is a good staple food for your trigger but other stuff with it will keep him healthy and brighten his color.

wow i love the yellow! you normaly dont see them like that if they are tank rased.
