lol i have bare minimal. i have a skunk cleaner shrimp with a camel shrimp. i also have a emerald crab, 3 nassarius snails, and 3 varied hermits. my tank is a 40g with some soft corals.
my cuc is very small. but my sand bed has stuff growing all over it and the algea creates a lot of pods for my fish so i dont mind it at all. any way some tanks need more of a cuc some need less. it all depends on your tank.
he likes to hang out in the are with the most curent and hover there. lol yes i would never hand feed a lion fish either. but i am working on getting it to eat from tweezer. if the lion is not sitting around he is hunting along the live rock for a feeder shrimp. its fun to watch.
i was able to keep one for about 5 months untill it was eaten but the cleaner wrasse grew an inch in the time i had it, i wouldnt call that malnourished. it was very plump too.
hi, welcom to the forum!
your first mistake is using crushed coral, live sand is much better. one piece of advice i can give you is to take your time. nothing good in this hobby happens fast. did you check your water befor you bought critters? but yes the diatomes should go away soon.
if you do plan to put a sump on your qt dont do it. the qt should be bare with a few peices of pbc and a HOB filter with some way to move the water around.
if you are only gona keepa pair of clowns you probaly wont need a skimmer. just get a good light for your sump and fill it with macroalgae. macroalgae is by far the best thing i have got for my tank. it keeps my water pristine with a heavy bio load. i would go with nassrius snails to shift your...
i know people use mud for mangroves. i think you should use live rock, live sand, and macroalgae... but its not my tank. but you must remember corals arent plants.
